While working with children’s learning difficulties, sensory processing disorders, autism and other developmental disorders, we recognise the family’s contribution to a child’s learning and development.

We believe that by helping parents understand their child’s strengths and challenges, they are able to more effectively support their child to develop skills, increase self esteem and build their confidence as individuals, as part of the family and also as part of their peer group.

RDI Program – Parent training that teaches parents how to remediate the parent / child relationship so that their child can develop as best as they can. Consultant works with child to model for the parents how they can be effective guides in helping their child apply their knowledge in the real world. More info here.

MLS programs are based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), using the most up-to-date teaching techniques that have been derived from research within this field. Their treatment model systematically targets skill acquisition and management of competing behaviours by using positive reinforcement strategies to accelerate learning. By building on each success through repeated practice of those skills targeted, they gradually increase the complexity of what is taught and therefore the individual’s ability to be more independent also increases.
